HMP, Shotts – Value: £83m (Client: Scottish Prison Service/Architect: Holmes Partnership)

A two phased re-development of an existing prison to provide two houseblocks to accommodate 540 prisoners. The works include new gates building, facilities building, regimes building and a segregation unit. All buildings are linked together with a two storey steel framed link corridor. The external prisoner facilities include an all weather sport pitch, exercise yard and a horticultural area.
