Goldenhill Primary School, Dumbarton – Value: £6m (Client: West Dunbartonshire Council/Architect: Ryder)

One/two storey curved steel framed building with internal gym and external all weather sports pitch for 260 pupils.  The design of the new building was heavily constrained by the existing school building and site topography.  The sequence of works were co-ordinated to suit partial demolition and the on-going operation of the existing school during the construction phase 1.  The development levels were dictated by the optimum cut and fill exercise with constraint on storage space.
