Tabreed Bahrain – District Cooling Plan No. 1 (Value: £12m / Client: Tabreed)

This project involved the introduction of a District Cooling facility to the commercial District of Manama. The facility was built in a 14m basement construction on reclaimed land with a tidal influenced water table. The basement construction ultimately formed a base for a multi-story car park and commercial office building constructed directly over the Cooling Plant. Ramage Young were engaged as sub-consultants to Avid C.M. Ltd. The operating contactor for the facility was Tabreed. The facility was primarily built to facilitate the Bahrain World Trade Centre Towers and the associated retail malls below.
