Climbing Centre, Ratho – Value: £17m (Client & Architect: Moidart Developments)

This project comprised of excavating an existing quarry to create space for a five storey steel building.  The roof structure comprised long steel trusses over the quarry to create an enclosed internal climbing environment.  The main building has a glazed atrium leading to the climbing wall and houses a café, viewing terrace, office/conference facilities, judo, gym halls etc.
