Lomond School, Helensburgh – Value: £2.2m (Client: Lomond School)

Design & Build contract with Balfour Beatty for the construction of a three storey traditional build extension and new steel framed assembly hall.  The extension was masonry wall construction with suspended precast concrete floor slabs. New structural openings were formed in the existing building to create circulation route/corridors between the existing/new buildings. The site works were carried-out during term time, therefore, the work was phased to minimise disruption to the existing school. The assembly hall building was a stand alone building linked to the existing school with a covered walkway.
