Nautical College Student Residence, Glasgow (Bid Proposal – Project Value: £12m / Client: CCG (Scotland) Ltd)

Appointed as Consulting Civil and Structural Engineer to CCG (Scotland) Ltd in support of their Turnkey proposal to deliver 300 bed space student accommodation to Glasgow College of Nautical Studies.

The building was designed as a concrete podium to first floor to accommodate all central services, common spaces (laundry, canteen and gym), main entrance and 6,000 ft2 of retail space.  All student bedrooms were above first floor and constructed using a proprietary system fabricated off site.  Foundations were designed as large diameter piles.
