VCL produce high quality, high precision engineered products for the oil and gas industry.  Their requirement was for a new 12,500 sq ft workshop complete with overhead travelling crane to provide an additional manufacturing facility.  The construction was a steel portal frame supported on insitu reinforced concrete foundations.  The concrete ground slab was designed to accommodate a number of high tech machine tools and incorporated service ducts.

The building was located adjacent to an existing facility which remained trading throughout the course of the works with a link corridor.
